Review content:
I have been going to the Drafthouse locations since they opened. And i have been in Austin a lot longer than they have and was glad to see such an establishment. We have always had a wonderful time there,......as singles.....as adults...and even with kiddos. UNTIL TODAY. My husband and I took our three daughters (3 year old twins and a four year old) to see Puss 'n Boots. We went to the 3:55 movie......kids movie times. And we were kicked out because, apparently. our daughters were too excited. This is a Disney kids movie. Maybe the Alamo should think of adult times and kid times, but to kick us out of an afternoon movie......with no refund or apologies was simply appalling. Believe me, the network of "mother of multiples" reaches far.....and, no longer, will the Alamo be a have on our list. not to mention that the last time I was there with a friend, our waiter asked us not house our phones to illuminate the menus. He admitted that the light was too dim to read by, but no phones are allowed. We were just using them as a flashlight. Whatever.....obviously, this is no longer a cool Austin creation. We will NOT BE THERE AGAIN. AND JUST THINK, our tickets alone are over $50, with a family so large. Cannot wait to spread the news about our shabby treatment. Would rather contact the company directly.....but just like any other huge company today.......YOU CANNOT CONTACT THEM. What a shame, I used to think of the Alamo Drafthouse as such a cool Austin institution...sorta like Esther's Follies. nomore.
