Review content:
We ordered a $1,500 front door and through a series of bloopers the THIRD door was finally correct, FOUR months later. Although it was the door manufacturer that made the mistakes in building the first two doors the lack of response from Truax is what really got me. At no point did my sales rep call me to provide updates. I had to call repeatedly to find out where my door was and I finally disputed the charges on my credit card to get their attention. I have my new door now - as I ordered it - but the kicker was right at the end. I requested a discount and we agreed on $350 (the installation cost) and then when I called the bookkeeper to make sure everything was straightened out she said it was $300 and they had already charged my card and sent the receipt. I know that I did not agree to that because it was arbitrary - the installation cost was $350. They agreed to the extra $50 and I expect the credit soon. We ordered all of our storm windows from Truax several years ago and there were no problems with the order - it was when there was a mistake, which happens to every good business, that they really needed to step-up to the plate on customer service. In this case they fell down.
