It took me a while to try this place...I just wasn't convinced that it was worth the drive. There are quite a few places to eat in Evanston already so why bother going that far. I should have listened to my instincts... This was absolutely the worst Italian food I have ever eaten. I mean worst than Lean Cuisine Italian, or the pasta dishes you get on planes. The food was bland and my pasta dish was soupy. We tried a number of different items off the menu. My fried calamari came with cocktail sauce which was inappropriate. Just don't here there...if you want Italian in Evanston, try Va Pensiero, Campagnola, or Trattoria Trullo; looking for something cheap, then go to Dave's Italian Kitchen.
