Review content:
La Tavola Trattoria brings the feel of Europe to Virginia Highlands. It's located right near the intersection of Virginia and Highland in a small storefront which just exudes charm. The main dining area is cozy, with small booths and tables in a space filled with dark woods and lined with wine bottles. It also has an outdoor seating area on a deck in the back. The atmosphere is casual and there's a nice mix of young and old here. The food is superb, especially the pasta. The ravioli as good as anything I had in Italy. They recently had a fixed price menu to celebrate the tomato harvest for $30 for four courses. Otherwise, appetizers are $5 to $10 and the main dishes are $12 to the mid 20's. It's a great place for a date as it never gets too loud.
