Review content:
I began dining at Purple Dot when it had first opened, back when they had their glittery tabletops. I miss those tabletops. Anyway, I went back after the management had [apparently] changed hands and was not impressed...so I stayed away for a while. Until of course, one late night when I was craving something salty and couldn't figure out where to eat. That was when I discovered their salty fish fried rice. To dieeeeee for if you're looking for that perfectly salty but not over the top dish. Along with that I love to order the House Special Chow Mein which they use the crispy noodle to create. It has shrimp, squid, and bok choy among other things in it. It doesn't exactly make sense with the other dishes, but I ADORE their french toast dish. The french toast is deep-fried, and has a sort of creamy jam in the center. Topped with lots of butter, this is a huge treat. The extra-special thing about this place is that it's open very late into the night, so you can always count on being satisfied at whatever time it is that you decide you're hungry. Pros: great late-night dining Cons: street parking
