Review content:
The Tucson International Airport is no O'Hare or Dallas Airport. Our local airport is small compared to other cities. In fact, unless you can afford it, hate the drive, or don't mind paying extra money to fly into Tucson, then I would suggest flying to Phoenix then driving here. Based on the tickets that we have found and used, we were able to save almost $500 from our travel across the country by flying into Phoenix. The savings I could have had on tickets (of every airline available!) would be my only gripe.
As far as the Tucson International Airport itself, I'm very thrilled with how easy it is to navigate in the parling lots and in the building. Although still under renovation, there are signs that are visible which maked finding your destination hassle free. This airport offers a gift shop, ATM machines, and restaurants. Although the items at the gift shop is a little pricey (typical), you will often find items on sale. They have items with "Tucson" or "Arizona" on some selections which would either make a nice home coming gift for someone or a souvenir from your vacation.
