A lot of people that I know have the AmeriBag Healthy Back Bag. It's a purse or can be used as a travel bag and even a diaper bag. The bag itself is comfortable, stylish, and very practical. It contours the person's body relieving stress on the neck and back. Sounds great, right?
Well, if you happen to get one of their faulty bags, this company won't stand behind their product. Beware!
My sister and I went shopping for one of these bags earlier this year. She was heading half way around the world to serve in the Peace Corps and wanted a good quality, American made bag to get her through 2 years of service.
We found THE PERFECT BAG!!! Or so we thought! The AmeriBag!
Two months after using this $65.00 new bag/purse, it started to fall apart. My sister emailed the company (and me) to complain how she got the "faulty" bag and asked AmeriBag if they would replace it.
The problems included stitching that was coming apart and the rubberized non-skid pad began to crumble to the point that nothing remained. This bag was her only "purse" and she really wanted another one like it - but one that passed Quality Control.
The company stated that she would need to mail it back to the States. They would have to examine it and determine if it is indeed a faulty bag. But they would NOT mail it back to her overseas. Plus, their services would take approximately 6 - 8 weeks. FOR WHAT? To look at a bag that is falling apart and . . . . . what?
My sister has been emailing them pictures and constantly following up with them. They do not return her emails. So my sister begged me to help her out.
I've been dealing with Ameribag since spring of this year and it's now November! They are not being helpful at all. NOT a good company.
I'm sure that there are a ton of people that purchased these bags and are very happy with them. But I think that a company's true color shines when a problem arises. Unfortunately, AmeriBag fails miserably with Customer Service and for a shoddy product that they won't stand behind.
