We had a horrible experience with Sears appliance repair. We bought a house, and inherited a dishwasher that needed service. We called Sears and set up an appointment, and told them part of the issue was that we couldn't find a serial number, and hopefully the repair person could. Well, the appointed afternoon, my husband took the afternoon of work, but Sears no-showed. I called when I got home from work - a hour on the phone, disconnected twice, and talked to 9 people! And all I could find out is that they 'left a message at 3:30pm' -- first, our window was 1-5, so at that point it was too little, too late. Second, they called the wrong phone number. Someone else got our message. Another 1/2 hour and another person on the phone the following day, and he tells me that Sears refuses to service appliances without a serial number anyway, so we should never have made an appt. in the first place!! Aahhhh. Seriously, no apology, no explanation, no attempt to make up for lost time or wages. NEVER AGAIN!!
