My family recently went to DJ's restaurant to celebrate a birthday. The server wrote down chopped steak even though she admitted to I said the sirloin top steak (and pointed on the menu). She kept changing her story when she spoke to me and the manager. However, she did change the order to the sirloin and when I received it the steak was barely cooked (the sides had the texture of raw meat). At this point my family was read to leave, the server offered to recook the steak but why should I wait for additional cooking time. I spoke to the manager. She was less than friendly and instructed me that is was my error. I agreed to pay for the grits and green beans but she informed me I had to pay for the entire meal. She later made a comment to the bartender in the bar in front of customers about the server and me. She also made the comment that we stayed an additional 30 minutes after we had the discussion (the steak could have been recooked) but we had been waiting on the checks in order to pay (the server made many errors). This is the only time I have had TERRIBLE experiences at DJ's. I will never return. The table next to us witnessed the entire episode. They had to wait for an extremely long amount of time for their pizza. They restaurant was not nearly as packed as usual. I plan to file complaints with multiple agencies.
