I came from Chicago Illinois to Orlando Florida in may 2007, with 87 people. Our travel agent booked Mears transportation for our needs. Our 6 day trip required vehicles for our group moves to different venues and scheduled appearances for performing at Disney.
We never had the same driver, or coach for any of our moves. This made it difficult since busses would leave in the middle of our charter and were replaced with a different one. One of our passengers left an irreplaceable medication on one of the coaches. Thinking they would have it when they returned, only to find our coach left, and was replaced by another leaving our passenger to be taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Many of the coaches had visible body damage, were not in my opinion clean, The restrooms were dirty and had no wipes or paper and when I brought that to the attention of the driver he stated "not my job"
I later complained to our travel agent about what happened only to discover that they had booked Mears due to the commission they were paid. Needless to say, that travel agent is no longer booking groups for me and I am now booking transportation directly with a Kissimmee gentlemen who ownes and operates new clean, polished coaches that I met during our trip.
I seems that Mears has the biggest company in Orlando, but not the best for quality or service.
