Visiting Honor Heights Park in Muskogee is a tradition of many families throughout Oklahoma, as well as the rest of the United States. The beautiful park has become famous for it's annual Azalea Festival, showcasing miles of amazing flowers. It is, however, a beautiful place to visit year round. There are so many beautiful flowers throughout the park, which are very carefully maintained all the time. They also offer beautiful walking trails, ponds with ducks, beautiful fountains, playgrounds, and even paddle boats! The park is a wonderful place to take the entire family for a day of fun. In fact, many of the area elementary schools bring the children regularly, as it has such a fantastic set up even for the kids.
In the winter, they host the "Festival of Lights", which is free to the public, but they do accept donations. The great thing is, they use those donations to make the park even more beautiful each and every year.
If you are visiting Oklahoma, or live anywhere in the state, this is a place you should definitely visit, as you will truly enjoy the entire experience!
