I would absolutely stay away from this company.
I hired them to close my pool, which I thought they did fine, but in the spring it was completely green when they opened it up. I understand that this can happen, but they did nothing about it. They put some chemicals in the pool and said that they vacumed it blind. I am sorry, but if you couldnt see the bottom of the pool, how were you able to vacum at all?
This is not the worst of it. There was a small part in the heater they broke during the opening. The pieces were left on the ground in front of our heater. I called the owner of the company, Tim, to bring it to his attention. He said he would call his workers.
He called me back and said that his workers stated they did not break the part, that it must have happened when the pool was closed in the fall. I reminded him that HIS COMPANY was the company that closed the pool in the fall. His response was that "we will never know whose fault it was because a lot of stuff can happen over the winter".
Tim said that he would order the replacement part - but that he would charge me 1/2 the cost. I reluctantly agreed.
It has been four months since that conversation, and he never came back with the part, no phone call, no follow up, and I was forced to hire another company to fix the part.
I have not been shy about writing poor reviews for companies that deserve it, but this company is the absolute worst of the bunch.
If the owner wouldnt take responsibility for a $20 part - what level of responsibility would he take if the lines froze in the winter? The only reason I ever hired them to close the pool was in case there was a problem, I wanted a company to stand behind their work.
They dont provide any sort of written guarantee about their work, and they obviously do not care about a $20 part, so I will never trust them again with a $20,000 pool.
I will be happy to provide additional testimony from neighbors that have also used this company with very poor results. Please post your questions and me or my neighbors will be happy to call you back. They opened a neighbors pool and forgot to connect the ground wire for the pump, and they forgot to screw in their ladder.
I would definitely run away from Tim and Pool Time.
