I love the Lark Tavern. Since my first pint while looking for apartments the bartenders and staff could not be more friendly. I've subsequently been back many times, albeit mostly for lunches and happy hours, and while the bartenders change, they always remember faces and names and make you feel right at home. Happy Hours have $2 drafts, (All drafts, except Guiness [$3]) and other well-drink specials, from 3-7:30 or there abouts, they just got a new tap system which keeps the beer fresh and cold, and they have a large list of bottled and canned beers you can't find in most other establishments. The food is surprisingly good and affordable, although I can only vouch for burgers and various fried sundries; with large portions. Further they have a stage area in the rear which has an assortment of acts from poetry readings, to rock bands, to burlesque shows. It's only downsides are small, not all to clean restrooms, and the occasional strong smell of old, stale beer, which honestly, I don't find too offensive. Tess and the gang at the Lark Tavern are worth experiencing and will make you feel right at home. I recommend it.
