bad diagnose
I Left my Ford Taurus at Pro-Automotive & Tire in Tacoma, Washington to diagnose vehicle noise. Later they called and said that my car failed a Cylinder Block Test which indicated a blown head gasket; they also said that I had a leaky radiator, that I need a serpentine belt, tensioner and idler pulley. They also said that I needed to flush my transmission.
The transmission was rebuilt by AAMCO one week before we brought the car to Pro-Automotive & Tire. We brought the car to Van Cleve Ford in Morton to find out if the car was worth saving or not. We told them that if there was more than a blown head gasket that we would be looking to buy a new car from them. They ran a pressure test and found no leaks. Checked for engine miss, and ran a computer test and found no problems with the engine. They did replace our idler pulley.
I’m not sure what happened at Pro-Automotive & Tire in Tacoma, but I am sure that I’ll never bring another car there again.
