The Maine Discovery Museum, in downtown Bangor, is the largest children's museum north of Boston. There are three floors of hands-on exhibits, and it is a fun experience for the entire family. Walk through parts of the body and give doll babies a checkup, put on a puppet show and see yourself on tv, visit the house from the book Goodnight Moon, and much more. There is also a snack room for when the kids (and adults!) need a break, and you can also have birthday parties at the museum. Definitely a must-see if you have small children and plan to visit the Greater Bangor area.
