I bought 21 boxes of 18" tile from Brewer Carpet One on N May. The salesman checked to see if they had it in stock. They did not. The salesman said they only 19 boxes therefore they were going to make a special order so that I would have the same lot (color). I called back several times to check the status. Then after about the 3 or 4th time I called they said yes my order was in & allowed my contractor to pick it up. But they said they only had 19 boxes & would get the other 2 the next day. (that should have been my first hint of a problem). So my contractor went down to pick up the tile they told him the same thing but he picked up the 19 boxes & then 2 boxes additional at the same time but not of the same lot(color). He said he could hide them under the main appliances. Now he got them to my house laid them out in the Kitchen & dinning room then started down the hall only to realize that not only did we have the 2 boxes that were not of the same lot but an additional 2 more boxes. So I called Brewer Carpet One to find out what happened. They would not admit to anything just kept dancing around the subject along with blaming my contractor that he changed the order by picking up the 2 boxes that were not the same color. Again & Again I asked them Brewer Carpet One where my original order was. Finnaly the salesman admitted it was on backorder. I said why did you not tell me that instead you told me that my order was in & then I sent my contractor down to pick it up. So now instead of having one size one color the only two solutions we would have is 1. take it all up order my order as it should have been or in the hall have that taken up then lay 13" TILE AT A DIFFERENT ANGLE SO AS TO DISPERSE THE COLOR DIFFERENCE. (OH BY THE WAY THERE WAS NO OTHER TILE IN THE COLOR THEY GAVE ME. So I set up an agreement trying to be as reasonable as I could about this situation requesting they pay to have the hall tile taken up the hall & utility room laid & decorative piece between the kitchen & hall to disperse the color & the 13" tile to do the job at no cost to me. In fact I requested they pay to me & my husband a reasonable sum for the labor. They Brewer Carpet One called me & back & said they would give me the tile but would not pay for the labor. They will not admit they they or Emser One (this is where they got the tile) that they are totally responsible for this big mess. I am at best disgusted, mad, & disappointed that they Brewer Carpet One on N May & Emser Tile on Broadway & Wilshire in Oklahoma City are not taking total responsibility for this mess. What it looks like to me is they pond off on me their stock instead of my order. Brewer Carpet One is blaming Emser & my contractor. I am here to say that they Brewer Carpet One is totally responsible for this problem because they told me when I called to check the status of MY ORDER that it was in. If I can save anyone else from this place I will. I will not stop here but had to begin somewhere. If anyone wants to talk to me about this you can email me at RLBCB1@yahoo.com. You would think this company would take responsibility for their bad management practices. Brewer Carpet One salesman also told me that because of what happened they are changing policy. I asked what policy & she said whoever picks up the order cannot change it. In other words again they are blaming my contractor the thing is he would not have been there to pick the tile up if the salesman had not told me MY ORDer WAS IN.
