I'm a barber from central Jersey, Monmouth County. Crazy Johnny's barbershop to be exact and I wanted to e-mail you and update you on our barbershop. I would also like to thank you for sending business my way. I was doing a search years ago when I first started cutting and found your sight. Its very neat and can definitely help people who are new to the area and looking for a good barbershop. I forgot all about it when out of the bluea guy came walking in our shop, and asked for Crazy Johnny. Johnny wasn't in, he barely ever is and we like to call it semi- retirement. So he goes on to tell me about the site and I'm like, "you no what I remember the site from years ago doing a search". Anyway after about five minutes of telling him and trying to convince him that I'm good and can cut a great flat top, he finally agrees to stay and give me a shot. I go on to give him one of the best cuts he has ever got, so he says. He works in Edison, New Jersey, which is half hour away, and lives by the border Penn.and N. J. which is about 2 hours away. The cut spoke for itself and he now comes in every two weeks.
The barbershop is now the best it has ever been and that is no lie. We have the youngest, and best barbershop in all of New jersey.We have 8 barbers total, 4 under the age of 22, Carlos, Ed, Mike, and myself. Crazy Johnny McGowan, whom is in his 50's and has been cutting for nearly 20 years is semi-retired. Jay, whom is in his late 30's, has been cutting hair for 21 years just moved up from Fort Lauderdale F. L. Then there are Bellezza and Chris both who have been cutting hair for years and are in there late 20's. Ballezza is from the Jersey Shore area and Chris is formally of Bergen county, New Jersey. Every Barber in the shop can cut any type of hair cut weather it be a flat top, fade, regular, and scissor. Every barber uses a straight razor.
We are the best Barber shop, hands down. You just cannot explain the atmosphere, it is unreal and there is nothing like it. Sometimes older men walk in, see younger guys cutting, walk out thinking we cannot use scissors and they are sadly mistaken. We offer senior citizen a discounted hair cut of $5 which is unheard of. Haircuts are $13 and razor work is extra. If you are ever in the area, stop in the greatest barbershop ever and get the experience of a life time, there is no telling what you will see or hear with the characters that come in and out. There is always a funny movie or music on. The entertainment is endless some days. There is 3 barbers on Sunday Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. 4 barbers on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. We are open Mon-Fri 9-5:30, Sat 8:30-4 and Sun 10-2. We are currently working on expanding those hours.
My name is Justin Yahara, I'm 21 and I have been cutting hair since I'm 14. I went to Monmouth county vocational where I got my license. I've been working for Crazy johnny for 7 years now and that is where I learned to cut. I'm not cocky, but very confident, I'm a very good barber, maybe the best, and I take pride in my work.
