Chucky Cheese

are you kidding? zero rating 11/16/2006

Good evening! I am writing to tell you about the horrible experience we have ever had at your Syracuse location. We used to frequent Chuck E. Cheeses when our children were smaller. So we wanted our grandson to have the same fun experience that his mom had. This is the second time we went to this location. The first time we went there was September 9th, 2006. We were having a wonderful time when I noticed from across the room this child stealing our tickets. I approached the boy and he denied it. His Mom came up and asked him where he got the tickets and he lied and said they were his. She kinda got all crazy like and we hurried to finish as we felt uncomfortable. We decided to try again today November 16th, 2006 to take my grandson for his second birthday. We were getting our pictures taken when a boy came up and told another boy how he was getting free tokens. I asked my husband to keep an eye out for the kids as this child was stealing the tokens from the kids by distracting them while another boy took their tokens. My husband observed the boys doing this and approached them. They said they weren't doing it so he asked them to go talk to management. He went to a gentleman who worked there, and he said "his parents are over there go talk to them". So he did. He was talking to who he thought was the child mother, and suddenly this black gentleman came up to him and shoved him. He told me to get out of his sons face. My husband said "I am not in your sons face" he approached him again and threatened as he was bumping his chest against my husbands that he wasn't far enough away. My husband said "is the parking lot far enough?" letting the man know he couldn't be intimidated. The man got all crazy so my husband walked away. We had 16 people with us, 11 of them being under 7. I went and got the manager as now I'm terrified. The man is now on the phone pacing back and forth staring us down so much that I wanted to call the police to walk us to the car. The manager refunded us our money and we gave our tokens to the boys who's tokens had been stolen. At least 7 people came up to us and thanked us for what my husband did. The manager was scared and I felt helpless. She felt helpless. My kids, my sister and my nieces and nephews we terrified. There needs to be some kind of security. The sad part is it's for the kids!!! What is this world coming to when you can't take your babies to Chuck E. Cheeses??? The first time it happened we thought oh maybe this was a fluke. But to go back and be scared to death is absurd. The workers there seemed to know this family, to the point that they were in control of the place. The manager was very sincere but the majority of the workers seemed to know them. As were were going out the door one of the employees, the one who directed us to the parents of the kids, was mocking us and laughing (being a smart ass) Can you even imagine what it was like for us? Rushing all theses small children to the car for fear that something terrible will happen? I even asked one of the men to watch us as we walked to our car and call 911 if something happened or if they followed us out. Here we are paying customers as these free loaders hang out at Chuck E. Cheese while they condone and encourage their children to steal. Making it a living hell for those of us who come because it has always a great memory since our children were little. more
