I came here 4 years ago and was told I needed 2 crowns and 1 root canal. The dentist took forever to do it and it was incredibly painful (I've had a root canal before and it was a breeze). I did not go back to this dentist because my procedure was so long and painful which made me think that the dentist wasn't very skilled at what he was doing.
4 years later, I get a regular check up with a different dentist and am told that 1 of the crowns done by Durango Dental has started to break. Now a crown is supposed to last at least 5 years which is why dental insurances won't cover a crown that is less than 5 years old. I should add that my previous crown was done 10 years ago and it is still in good shape. I call up Durango Dental and they give me a sch-bill about how they don't know if the dental work and check ups that I've had in the last 4 years by a different dentist is at a standard of care as good as theirs so they aren't willing to replace my crown.
Then I asked if they would be willing to give me a better price than what my dentist quoted me to replace the crown SINCE IT WAS THEIR FAULTY CROWN that broke before the normal 5 years. They say no but their price is the same as my dentist and ask if I want to make an appointment with them...
Umm EXCUSE ME??? WTF would I go back to you and PAY THE SAME PRICE for a crown that didn't last as long as it was supposed to??
I gave them the opportunity to show some professionalism, make a good faith effort to fix their mistake, and act as a reputable business, but they failed. Don't waste your time and money going to them. You'll likely need to have any work they do fixed by a new dentist later on.
