While I am reviewing restaurants that don't "fill the bill" with me, I would like to add Piccadilly Cafeteria to this list. Piccadlly Cafeteria used to be "the place" to eat here in Alexandria. You could dine here and pick your favorite entree and select your choic of veggies that tasted like momma cooked them. I have given up on Piccadilly as a lost cause. I haven't been able to drag myself to dine there in the past 2 years because of some back to back bad experiences with the food.
Their vegetables began to taste as if they had just been poured out of a can and warmed. The tables appeared to not be cleaned much less sanitized after the previous customers left. I found the plates to be dirty, having to go through five or six before I could find one without something (food particles) stuck on them. The same with the utinsels. I have found rice, etc. stuck between the tines of the forks. I really lost my appetite the last two times we dined there and could not bring myself to return.
It may be great now, but the memories from the past won't let me give them another try.
If I am going to pay for a meal, I am going to have it served in a CLEAN plate and eat using CLEAN utensils. I would also expect the food to have some flavor and appealing taste too.
