A Kitchen Salon 3/14/2013

First off it smells bad in the looks dirty and broken down. I had a 4:00pm appt. with the owner of the shop, Val. I walk in she is finishing up a sew-in. It is now 4:30 and she ask the receptionist (not a hairstylist assistant just a receptionist) to wash my hair....disaster. Then I get put under a old broken down hair steamer that took 10 mins to cut on. So know I am just ready to get under the dryer and go. Val asks the receptionist to rinse the conditioner out, mold my hair (it short), wrap it with paper and put me under the dryer...another disaster. So now a I am finally dry and sitting in the stylist chair........Val left me to go put two people under the dryer and then came to style me...the worst disaster. My edges weren't smoothed, my hair was sticking straight up with a curl at the end ( I asked for dropped/barrel curls) and she didn't even use hair spray I had to ask her to add some (I have soft hair). So I told her this is not what I asked for. Advised her I didn't have another 3 hours to waste to have her play in my head.... To be an owner of a salon she was so unorganized, lack time management and moved soooo slow. To me it seemed they do more weaves than natural hair...and it wasn't a good weave from what I saw. The whole experience did not scream hey I am a licensed hair dresser just hey come by my house and get your head done. DONT GO THERE more
