So we make a trip to Sam's Club in Augusta about every 2 weeks. We have found that we do save money buying things like paper towels, trash bags, toilet paper, canned chicken, chicken broth, frozen chicken breast and many other things buying them in large amounts.
There is only my husband and me so another thing we do is buy large packages of hamburger meat, a large pork tenderloin and a large pack of bacon. Then we divide the meat up into smaller packages and use our vacuum sealer to package the meat and put it in the freezer. It keeps for a long time and the meat is great from Sam's.
I also watch for things like name brand shirts and slacks for my husband and step-father. Also my oldest son wears a 3X and that's a hard size to find, but the carry it at Sam's. They will sometimes have Nike shirts and Ralph Lauren Slacks for next to nothing. When they do I will pick up a couple of pair of pants or some shirts.
You just have to look for the bargains at Sam's in clothes. Sometimes they have them and sometimes they are a little too high. I have picked up Ralph Lauren or Nike polo shirts for $10 and the ticket was marked $40. Everything there is on a first come first serve basis and if you catch it when they just put stuff out you can really rack up.
We have saved a ton since we started shopping there and I feel it is worth the $35 a year fee for my husband and I to be a member.
