My sisters and I got a gift package for four different services at Najwa salon. The salon seems quite nice, we were greeted with friendly staff who assigned us each with stylist but no beverage of any kind was offered while we waited. A sudden change of plans, without any of us knowing, we each ended up with a different person that was originally assigned. No biggie, first time no biases. I got a very nice 6'3" gentleman (or so I thought) who was very charming...at first. He guides me to the wash sink and had me lay down. Started washing my hair and "messaging" my head as if it was a head of lettuce. Pain was all I felt. He sat me on a chair to begin consulting and cutting away. This man suddenly transformed into Edward Scissors Hands with clips and combs flying all over the place. This man (I choose to block his name out of mind) was so rough that he combed my earring yanking it off causing it to fly over to another station. I was in tears. Another person asked if she can finish me off, worst job ever, no style no recommendations plus she looked mad the whole time.
Went back to get a facial. The esthetician was sweet but kept checking her phone, loud noises everywhere, cramped room, kept bumping into me while I had to lay there. I did not feel like she did anything but wash my face, a 5 year old could have given me a better facial. While I was reluctant to tip, felt like it was only fair since I got these services as a birthday gift. I frequent salons, not once did I receive service as bad as this. The quality of services was not up to par, was constantly up sold on additional services and was not very professional. If there were an option of giving negative stars, that’s what I would rate. Salon services and customer service is vital to a successful business, Najwa had neither. Quite sad for a pristine space and upscale neighborhood.
