I ordered pizza at 10:30pm from MIT to be delivered to a Mass. Ave. address, a few blocks away from Chicago Pizza.
I called at 11:30pm to get info about my order and was assured that it was on its way.
At midnight I was called and told that the driver was near but didn't know exactly where to go and I offered to pick up the pizza on the sidewalk on Mass. Ave. in front of MIT.
It was raining.
At 12:15am I was called again and told that the driver had given up and gone back to the restaurant and that someone else would be coming out shortly. They said that they would meet me in the lobby of the student center where I had expected them to meet me 1.5 hours earlier. At 12:30am the driver (manager?) called and told me that he had arrived. I met him shortly in the lobby of the student center and picked up my pizza.
At this time, the driver (manager?) did not offer me any compensation for the extremely late delivery of a cold pizza. Unfortunately, I had purchased the pizza online with a credit card and thus had already paid. I told the driver (manager?) that I wanted the pizza to be free and he told me he could not do that and that I should call up his boss the next day.
The next day, I called at 3pm and asked to speak with a manager. I was told that the manager would not be in until 6pm and that I should call back after 6pm.
At 9:30pm I went to Chicago Pizza and asked to speak to a manager. I was told that the manager was no longer there. I told the man who had delivered my pizza (the manager?) that I had called earlier and was told that the manager would be in after 6pm. He responded, "maybe he's sick?" At this point I told him that I did not care and I simply wanted my 2hr late, cold pizza to be free. He just laughed at me. I told him that I would be contacting the *redacted*, my credit card company, the company I ordered the food through, and internet sites and making my displeasure known. He seemed not to care.
Chicago Pizza has terrible service.
