This company hired local artists to demonstrate ipads at Sony stores. First, they provided a contract in which they never signed but required the artist to sign. They were to pay the artists $35/hour. The problem is that even after all the hours my daughter worked covering for other artists, she still has not been paid. They offer no solution nor do they have any information regarding when the check will be mailed or even if they are going to pay her. They keep telling her they have no information nor do they know who we could call. Richard kept telling her, he is not the correct person & that the A/P dept is responsible. I believe they may not even be a legitimate business. Their contract states a different address for Pacific Plaza II in San Diego but, there is no listing for their business under Pello, LLC within the Plaza stores listings. There is a different name listed as a construction business at 4475 Mission BLvd., San Diego, Ca. Sounds like they get paid by large corporations but do not pay the young people they hire under contracted terms to perform the events. I am definitely going to pursue going after them. My daughter works independently under contract for others and has never had this happen before. Since they advertised on Craigslist, I believe they are scammers like all the other con artists on Craigslist. If only they would tell her something positive. It has been nearly 1 month and they have no information regarding her payment still. This is disgraceful that they will not even say something to at least demonstrate their willingness to come through. After all, she did have other things to do at that time but when offered additional hours to cover for other artists who were from out of state and had to leave, she willingly accepted the additional time and cancelled her other plans. Our next course of action is to go through the Corp they claim hired them. Or, maybe they did not hire them at all. It could have been somebody else entirely. I will post additional developments both good & bad.
