I contracted Weedman's services for the 2012 season. I paid in advance for Aeration, Overseeding, and Weed control- which came to a substantial sum in the end. I picked them because they "guaranteed" their services. The aeration missed 20 foot sections between passes with the aerator machine. The seed ended up on my driveway, in my flower beds, on the street in front of my house, and very little actually made it on my lawn. After calling to ask them to come out and fix the problem they sent the workers back out who swept up the seeds in the driveway and again failed to overseed the bare areas in the lawn, and again failed to aerate the whole lawn- omiting a nearly 400 sqaure foot section. I ended up buying grass seed and overseeding myself in the Fall.
Not only did I have problems with the aeration and seeding I had problems with the weed control. The workers failed to apply weed control to my backyard on multiple occasions. When I called to report the problem I was told that it WAS applied, I only had to give it 2 weeks to work (I could see where it was applied and where it wasn't by the pellets in the lawn). When I called to report the problem later they pretended it was the first time I had ever called to report problems with their services! Over the season I called 8 times to report problems, with the workers only coming out to rectify the problems only once (the incident mentioned earlier).
Finally I called to cancel my services and request a refund for the services I had not yet received. They asked my reasons for cancelling their automatically renewing services. I explained my problems over the season- again they pretended I had never called about the problems I was having.They said they would cancel the automatically renewing services. The next week I got a letter about the next years' services. I again called and the same conversation occurred that I had the week before. A refund for services not received was refused.
