Better Front Desk Service, Please. 3/30/2006

It took me several tries to even make an appointment with this dental office. No one would pick up the phone and it made me wonder if the office was even open. There was no front desk service when I went there. I had to wait a while for a hygienist/technician to come and asked me if I were a new patient. I was given different forms, which contained inconsistent info, to sign. I asked about the $10 "Sterilization Surcharge" mentioned on the agreement, which I never had to with other dentists, and was told that it has been raised to $12. Maybe if i didn't ask I'd have been charged $10, instead? The surcharge cost almost as much as my co-pay and raised my out-of-pocket price to double what I used to pay. The cleaning was done with minimal work and I didn't think was thorough (compared to my prior experiences). I am now looking to find yet another dentist. more
