It is not easy to keep your head high and pretend like you are okay when everyone around you mocks you and makes you feel worthless. This was just my case when I was in high school. Every single day I had to listen to beautiful girls calling me ugly, fat, and stupid. When I got home for school I would stay in my room and cry myself to sleep. For a long time no one knew how I was feeling, but one day I couldn’t take it anymore and burst into tears at dinner. My mother got me an appointment with Dr. Brett the next day. From then my life started to change. Dr. Brett made me feel important, and helped me raise my self-esteem and confidence. Every time I left his office I felt that I was on the way to becoming a better person and the days of sadness were going to be left behind me and never to come back. Dr. Brett was the one that taught me I am the only one who can say if I am worthy or not, and that if I feel comfortable and beautiful there is no one that can make me believe otherwise.
