I Will Not Shop at Radio Shack Due to Poor Customer Service 1/2/2007

Radio shack has never been one of my favorite places to shop, but I was looking for a USB port for my cell phone and thought perhaps I could find one there. It was 11:00 in the morning and since it was Sunday the real onset of shoppers had not yet started and the mall was fairly quiet. The associate Traci was the only one at the counter when we walked in and she was assisting someone there. When she finished with him we approached her. She didn't bother to look up from the counter for several minutes and then when she did, she looked as though we were bothering her. Another young woman came out to the counter at about that time. We were still trying to catch Traci's attention and finally did get it long enough to ask about the cord only to be told, "We don't carry that". My friend then asked about hands free speakers for my phone. Traci turned to the other young woman and very rudely said, "Can you help these people?" It was not as though she were going on a break - she stayed right where she was the entire time. At that point, Michelle took over with a smile! Thank goodness! She was most pleasant and not only helped us choose a product, she actually took it out of the packaging and showed us how it worked. It will take total desperation for me to ever walk back into that store again. more
