I have been a customer of AT&T Long Distance provider for over 25 years. Today, I called to cancel my long distance service because I just don't need it any longer. I rarely make long distance calls any more and having been paying for this service for the last year without using it. I encountered the following problems:
1.The person I spoke with on the phone was not understandable. He spoke with such an accent that I could not make out what he was saying.
2. I was not able to just cancel my service without any explanation.
3. I was asked a bunch of questions that I did not need to be asked just to cancel my service.
4. I got cut off during the call and had no idea if my service was cancelled or not.
Why do companies have to harass you when you simply do want or need their services any longer?
I had my spouse call back to ensure that we were unsubscribed to the long distance service only to find out that I had supposedly sign up for the same service that i was cancelling. After about 25 minutes she was finally able to tell them to drop our service!
Come on!!!! Let me drop the services I don't need or want without all the" but if's"...... and "do you know's".
