The Rickshaw - Review by Alx P | Rcikshaw Restaurant & Lounge

Rcikshaw Restaurant & Lounge

The Rickshaw 9/24/2006

I finally made it to this restaurant after hearing that it was old, crowded, and just not the first choice to be. (lol...I know) We went in for Karaoke (which starts after 9 each night) and it was pretty full. Luckily, they turn the entire restaurant into seating for the karaoke sessions (&, yes, u still can order food) so we could find a seat & still slightly see the singers. The best parts to being here (vs. there :) was that the singers were good and bad. I'm not any Mariah Carey or even that guy that sings the happy birthday song real well... so even making a sit-down appearance in a karaoke place is a lil scary 4 me. But here, it was great! They had strong (or at least not watered down) drinks, nice servers, and some pretty average person type singers (& a few good 1's too). Though we ran out of time to b4 we got out chance to sing, I know i could've gotten up there and felt more comf. around this group a people than the small karoke bar we just left full of the best singers. It was just a bunch of people, young & old, relaxed, & just wantin' to sing & have a great time. So, of all the N. Seattle places to just hang & karaoke, the Rickshaw is at the top of my list! more
