While I'm not doing acupuncture for allergies I do have friends that do and they swear by it. My work with Kathleen has been to deal with a major tear and sprain of my back and right leg muscles. She's been wonderful to work with and I just saw her again today. I've been seeing her about 3 or 4 months now. Not only is the acupuncture helpful she is well versed in Chinese herbs and other forms of treatment (we've done cupping and small bits of massage on damaged tissues). She is also a really easy person to be around and to talk to - I really like her!
She's also very giving in many ways. A few weeks ago I told her about my work with FEAR Project and she donated 3 sessions to our silent auction. Plus, I've been working like crazy and on top of it I'm planning the aforementioned fundraiser right now. Today I showed up frazzled and completely in an emotional ball from lack of sleep and stress. She was able to help me focus and by the time I was done with my shortened session (I was late) I felt relaxed and much more grounded. This really helped me get through the rest of the day in a way that was more focused and more fun. Kathleen is a wonderful human being and a great professional as well. She mentioned recently that she's adding counseling to her repertoire soon as well. Heck, I already feel like I get that from her at times.
Kathleen's business is split into two locations. She works out of the Washington Athletic Club (WAC) which is where I met her but she also has a location by Greenlake. Oddly enough it's right by our pet's veterinarian office behind Spuds.
