Since I usually eat French toast wherever I go, I based restaurants on that a lot. It's an easy dish so I think it's a good indicator.
Sunflour Bakery has fluffy, egg-y French toast. It's my second favorite in the city. While I don't get to Wedgwood often, it's a great place to eat.
They have waiters there who are PROFESSIONAL. I like that. It makes me feel like a real person (not just a over-consuming, breakfast snob) when someone takes pride in serving. And the name is clever.
