69 Chinese Restaurant on 69 Bayard St. has such good home-cooked food that they don't even need a name. And apparently their food attracts the crowds because I've definitely had to wait outside for a table before. In the AM hours, they are one of few restaurants in Chinatown that aren't closed. I swear these people don't sleep; this restaurant is like a hungry, drunk person's best friend. I've never been crazy about their food, but I think over the years it has grown on me. Their dishes taste very homemade; try the beef stew or the chicken over corn. Ooh, and don't forget the chicken wings--they're good. Also, they condone defacing government property; you can write messages, shoutouts, names, whatever, on a dollar bill and they will post it up on their wall.
