My husband and I went to WG&R for their Presidents Day sale and purchased a new bed and mattresses. We explained to the sales clerk that we had a narrow stairway and we wanted to make sure that the bed we had chosen would fit up the stairs. We were going from a full size to a king size bed. We were assured by 3 different clerks that it would be no problem. The morning before the new bed was to be delivered we disassembled and removed our old bed to make it easier to get the new bed and mattresses into our bedroom. When it finally arrived, the men took one look at our stairway and told us that there is no way the bed or mattress. I was so upset. Not that it didn't fit, but that 3 clerks had told us it would and they really got our hopes up. We had given them the exact dimensions of our stairway.
So we went back to WG&R and asked for a manager. We explained what had happened and she set us up to work with a different clerk than we had worked with before. This clerk found us an even better bed and convinced us that we needed a better set of mattresses and a less expensive bed(this was a very good choice for us). We went with a Queen size instead of a King size and she had us speak with the people who do the deliveries to make sure it would fit. She even threw in a $135 memory foam pillow for my husband to make up for the problems. It took 2 weeks to get the new bed and we spent that whole time sleeping on a mattress on our bedroom floor because we had already gotten rid of our old bed, but we were happy with the special service we had gotten the second time.
