Roche Brothers has an excellent produce department--the fruits and vegetables are very fresh, although the prices tend to be expensive; it's best to wait until the item you want is on sale. For example, broccoli crowns are often on sale for 88c a pound, but the regular price is $1.99 per pound. The meat department is also very good, with good sale prices on some steaks and chicken. However, there's only a limited selection in the household cleaners and paper goods departments. Roche recently expanded its deli and prepared foods area to include more prepared hot meals which you can purchase as either a take-out for lunch, or in a larger amount for family dinner, or even parties. These are delicious alternatives to purchasing a microwavable frozen meal when you want a quick, easy meal. Roche also offers to wheel your orders out to your car, and the helpful and polite employees will place the bags and bundles in your trunk or SUV free of charge.
