YUM!!!! YUMMY YUM YUM!!!!!!!!!!! 1/1/2007

How do I love chocolate?! If there is a chocolatier to be tried, I try it. When this was recommended to me I was skeptical because so many people recommend chocolate places that are pretty mediocre, but this place did not disappoint. For a gourmet chocolate place, their prices are quite fair ($1.35 per bon bon). Bon bons are cheaper if you buy them separately in a plastic bag rather than in a box (like if you're eating them yourself instead of for a gift). They have a fun variety of flavors -- my favorite is the chocolate cinnamon, but also good are the lavender honey, creme brulee, espresso, and others. We didn't have time to try the hot chocolate (also feeling a bit guilty since we were en route to Kripalu Center for a health weekend), but it looked delicious (and we sampled the pure cocoa nibs they make it with), and at $5 a cup we've had more expensive (this is a fair price all things considered). The shop is easy to find right on Rte. 7. Great for gifts. You can buy off their website, too. We also tried the Raspberry Fruit thing (can't remember what it's called, but they are popular in France) which was exquisite and delicious and tasted just like real fruit and not fake candy. They have a cafe where you can have hot drinks and also eat their wonderful cakes (chocolate-focused, of course). more
