A little seedy, but it's probably the more central mall that we have here in Austin. I think that because of it's location it also gets inundated w/ teenagers on the afternoons and weekends, but when you're looking to some shopping and don't feel like driving all over Austin, this is the place to be. Highland Mall does have most of the bigger department stores that you would look for in a mall, such as Dillards, Foleys, JcPenney's. It has a good selection of stores, but is definitely lacking some of the more exclusive and pricier stores that people have come to look for in recent years. It's normally very crowded and the shopping isn't the best, but it gets the job done.
