Thanks to some unfortunate physiology, I've had a lifetime of working with various dentists, and I've seen nothing that can compare to this one. Tracy Wayman has assembled a staff that's of an equally high caliber, and has created a workplace for them that's relaxed and enjoyable. Without exception, every one of their patients that I've talked to actually looks FORWARD to a visit to the dentist or hygenist!
How many dentists have the guts--or confidence in their work--to rig the door at Halloween with a thing that emits a joke haunted-house scream when you walk in? This one does.
The reconstruction he did on my wife's teeth was of such quality that he proudly--and quite rightfully--shows the before-and-after photos to prospective job applicants at the office.
My son's (former) pediatric dentist told this very bright and inquisitive kindergartener "We don't use needles, we use 'nummy drops'" before proceeding to stick a needle full of novicaine into his gums. What, they thought he wouldn't notice? I thought the violation of trust that lie caused would turn the kid off dentists for life. We switched dentists immediately. Dr. Wayman and company treated him like someone who had enough brains to be a partner in the care of his teeth. They took their time to explain everything they were doing, sharing with him the science behind dentistry, and basically inspiring him toward good dental hygeine--just like they do with grown-ups.
It's obvious from the reasonable prices and the easy-on-the-staff office hours that everyone at the practice is in it for the joy and satisfaction of the work they can do, not for the money.
I don't live anywhere near this practice, but I'd commute there from the moon if I had to. They are truly that good. That's not a secret around Seattle, though, so if you're not in the throes of an emergency then call for an appointment well in advance so you can get on the list to come in.
