I have raved and raved about Hope's Thrifts on Highway 84 but now I'm sorry I'm going to have to leave negative feed back.
A month ago they started a referal program. When you signed up you get 20% off your order everytime you come in, not to mention you will recieve partial credit for anyone you refer's purchases. Some people I gave my refer cards, others I didn't and just told them to go there. One person i know for a fact went in and gave them my referal card and they did not write down her on my card. When I went in recently and asked to use my 20% off they told me that I wasn't allowed to have it because I'm supposed to have referred someone every week to get it. They NEVER told us that when we signed up plus they didn't write down any of the people I sent in with my referal cards. She said that there were a lot of people trying to scam them (yah right scam a thrift store??) and they can't just give everyone the discount because that takes away from the charities they donate to. She was really snippy and rude and I just didn't appreciate how she treated me and have vowed i would never refer anyone else to that place.
Not only do they have bad customer service and a horrible reward system. They also have raised their prices so high that people who need to shop in thrift stores cant even afford items in the store. It's unreal! I wanted a blanket and it was marked 4.99$. I asked if they could go a little lower, as it had many snags in it and she said No she just couldn't go any lower and that was low enough----Mind you i could buy the same blanket at Dollar General for $8.
I highly recommend staying away from Hope's Thrifts and check out other thrift shops in the area who you know donate to a good cause like Goodwill and Salvation Army. Who know's who Hope's Thrifts donates too. They don't have it posted!
