There is so much to do at Stone Mountain. They have special events every month, a skyride to the top of the mountain, the amphibious vehicles that go in the lake, the laser show and camping. You can also be adventurous and hike up the mountain. While the price is kind of steep ($20/person and $8 to park!) there are some ways to save on this, you can go after 3:00 and save $7 or better yet, buy an annual pass. Our family of four cost us $165. We only live an hour away so we go over for an afternoon, do some walking around and then have a picnic before heading home. I definitely advise the annual pass for locals. Its a great way to entertain everyone and it pays for itself after two visits.
