The Capital Grille is a swanky, wonderful steakhouse. I first ate there in McLean, VA and fell in love with their fried calamari. I have tried calamari at McCormick and Schmick's and other restaurants and none compare. They add red peppers to their calamari. Their steaks are also amazingly tender. The portions are very large. I think the dessert is average. I had the cheesecake with strawberries. It was good but probably not better than Cheesecake Factory.
The waiter was really nice. I have always found the customer service to be excellent in both NYC and VA. This is a wonderful restaurant. It is a great place to celebrate special occasions. Be sure to make reservations and expect to spend at least $40-$50 per person.
