I have visited Winstar a few times and each time have had fun. It is only an hour and a half drive north of DFW. It makes for a great afternoon of evening visit.
One thing to know is the machine do not give out any money. You must sign up for a player's card (which is free) and put the card into the slot machine you would like to play. You are then able to load your money into the machine, any winnings will be loaded on your players card, so do not forget your card in the machine. You must use the card at the cashiers station to get your money.
There are also Beverage stations located throughout the building where you can help yourself to an ice cold soda or hot cup of coffee for free!
With a variety of slots and table games this is a nice alternative to Vegas and a heck of a lot closer to home.
