If you're looking for a lunch spot on Franklin Street that's a step above the usual hot dog or subway sandwich, but don't want to entirely break the bank, you should go to Spanky's! Situated on the corner of Columbia and Franklin, you get a great view for people-watching if you're lucky enough to score a window seat (particularly on the 2nd floor). The food is your usual burgers, pasta, salads, etc, but a definite small step above the level of just another burger joint. Particularly good are their pasta and salad dishes, but my personal favorite is their yummy Veggie Burger.
