Mixed Customer Service results 8/31/2006

After visiting 3 stores, I am unimpressed with this chain. However, I have heard from more than one person that it just depends on the day and the store- some of them are apparently great. 4 different sales associates at 3 of the stores told us 3 different things. Actually, one of their associates told us different things every time she opened her mouth. She also made it clear that we were an annoyance when it became a possibility that wouldn't be making a purchase that night. When one of our party members changed her mind about what she was going to do, the associate became very friendly and solicitous again. My group left with no solid information, one purchase, and a brush-off. There was one shining moment of customer service. The gentleman who represented After Hours Formalwear in their location was so helpful and personable. While the saleslady was giving us the eye and avoiding us, he showed us a number of different options and how they coordinated with the bride's color choices. He took a little time to get to know her style and let her answer the questions he asked, unlike the associate on the David's side. So, AfterHours=good, David's=what in the world is going on, please can someone give us a straight answer and make sense? more
