Located in the heart of Saint Paul’s Mexican district, El Burrito Mercado is the premiere Hispanic grocer in the Twin Cities. The market features a broad selection of packaged and fresh Hispanic foods. I head to El Burrito Mercado regularly for flan mix, Jumex, and Mexican Coke. The Mercado’s produce selection is good and cheap. The store regularly features the cheapest mangoes in town.
The biggest draw of El Burrito Mercado is its prepared food. At one end of the store, you will find a cafeteria line full of the best Mexican food in town. If your Spanish isn’t good, just point. Whatever you get will be great.
