We recently moved here from s. California. I feel that my furbabies vet is even more important than a doctor for me so I was nervous trying to find a good vet since we'd have our other vet for 20 years. Not expecting anyone to live up to what we wanted but hoping to find at least a vet that we could trust with our cat and dog.
Long story short, we visited VCA vet for regular yearly exams and shots. They were ok with our dog but I was so shocked at how they treated our cat! We have a MainCoon registered cat and the vet picks him up and pops his rear leg and we heard a 'POP'. Then she asks us if we ever heard this before or if our cat seemed to limp...I said NOT TILL YOU POPPED HIS LEG! She said it was a defect in MainCoon's..well scure me, not mine till you almost broke his leg off!
They looked at his shot record, said he didn't need any and gave us a bill of almost $100. we left and were a bit upset at his treatment, then they had given us a 'estimate' for teeth cleaning of almost $1,000! The last time we had his teeth cleaned it was under $400!
About two weeks later, they send a card saying our cat needed a shot...they dont' seem to know what is going on there.
We decided to try another vet and got his teeth cleaned for the previous amount.
I had a bad experience here and wouldn't recommend this vet nor will we ever return with any of our pets.
We had a wonderful experience at Bradshaw Veterinary Clinic and even tho the wait was long, they seem to really care about your pet and have the vets that KNOW what's going on...
