The Hilltop Alehouse located on the top of Queen Anne Hill on Queen Anne Avenue, is friendly pub with great food in the $7.00 to $10.00 range. In addition to the excellent selection of micro-brew and UK beers on tap and pacific northwest sandwiches entrées and salads, they serve my favorite black iced tea. The main bar has many tables in addition to the bar. There is also a garden room in the English tradition, but sadly, this is America, and you can't bring the kids to the garden room for dinner. It is a bar and no minors are permitted. Smoking is also not permitted, which is a bonus to those of us who have severe allergic reactions to cigarette smoke. So remember, no kids and no smokes, just good brews, wine and food.
