I have given the 501 Diner two fair shakes at getting me to like it. I ADORE diners - the food, the decor, the fun... But 501 just doesn't have it. I believe a large part of the problem is the dead flies they allow to collect at their windows. I'm sorry, but that is just gross. The food would have to be incredible to make up for that, and it just isn't. It's mediocre.
