My mom is Costa Rican and I love Costa Rican food, but, unfortunately, the food at Mi Casita is just not the same Costa Rican food I know and love. Perhaps it is the ingredients they must buy in this country? I don't know, but the flavor is not there and the food is very heavy... not at all what I associate with traditional Costa Rican country cooking. The prices are also way too high. Costa Rican food should be simple, light, full of flavor, and inexpensive.
